About

Sipuha is an informational resource which uses data from ONS (Office for National Statistics) to help you find basic data about UK postcode locations.

Our postcode finder provides quick and easy access to essential information about postcodes across the United Kingdom, including geographic coordinates, administrative boundaries, health authorities, statistical areas, and more.

The dataset currently in use is the ONS Postcode Directory (ONSPD), dated 3 December 2025. This release covers all current and terminated unit postcodes in the United Kingdom.

Demographic breakdowns shown on the site (for example ethnicity, religion, age groups, and household composition) are taken from Census 2021 statistics for England and Wales, published by the ONS and distributed through Nomis (official labour market and census data service). We import data at output-area level and align them with our ONS postcode releases.

Median and average property prices, recent sales, and price trend charts come from HM Land Registry Price Paid Data for England and Wales — official records of residential sales reported to HM Land Registry. We import the dataset via the Land Registry’s monthly update feed and aggregate sold prices to postcode, district, and area views. Figures reflect completed transactions, not asking prices or valuations.

Police crime charts and map overlays are sourced from data.police.uk, using monthly police-recorded crime totals aggregated to our area and postcode views. Trend percentages are shown as year-on-year changes versus the same month in the previous year.
